the 3d project company

Rusted

The 3D Project is the jazz focused contemporary dance company affiliated with Cary Ballet Conservatory. Since 2003, 3D at CBC has been performing in the Raleigh/Durham area at dance festivals, community events, and schools, culminating in the annual spring performance. The 3D Project emphasizes technical proficiency combined with performance experience to create top notch dancers in a structured, yet high energy and positive environment. 3D at CBC offers dancers an opportunity to perform contemporary choreography in a variety of genres including jazz, hip hop, musical theater, modern and folklorico. 3D at CBC exposes dancers to festivals, workshops, master classes and performance opportunities designed to help each dancer achieve his or her individual goals in dance. The aim of the 3D Project emphasizes the importance of good technique and style, enabling dancers to develop to their physical potential while nurturing them as artists. Understanding dance as an art form, not solely an athletic endeavor, allows dancers the freedom to grow creatively bringing their own personality and attributes to each piece of choreography they are involved in. 3D at CBC has multiple performing groups comprised of dancers at varying age and technical levels. All company members are chosen by audition or invitation only. Auditions for the 2012 company are Sunday, September 9!
