In addition to the many
performances held throughout the year by our pre-professional "cary
ballet company," the conservatory hosts various special events,
festivals, auditions and master classes.
We annually invite our
students' families to join us for a special observation week in December. These
observations are held in the classroom environment to understand and
appreciate the values of class work and student-teacher relationships
and to celebrate our students' progress and dedication. Observation week is followed by our Visions of Sugarplums performance at a community theatre for all to enjoy.

Our youngest students,
(3 ½-4 year old classes) invite their parents for a fun and informal demonstration, held in the young dancers familiar
environment at CBC on the last day of school year classes. The children will not need costumes. Simple props are provided such as wands or pull-on tutu’s, making them feel
special.
Students,
6 years and older, are encouraged to participate in our elaborate
annual theater production in June. This delightful year-end performance
provides our students the wonderful experience of sharing their art
with family and friends. Unlike many recitals, our audience is
genuinely entertained with our story-theme productions presented
artistically through creative ideas, expressive choreography and music,
beautiful costumes and full-set scenery in a professionally run manner.
The community as well as the
students and their families eagerly await these delightful productions
at the end of each school year. |
