Dear
Dance Colleague,
My name is Suzanne Laliberté Clark and I am the director of the Cary Ballet Conservatory in Cary, NC. I would like to introduce myself, the conservatory and our affiliate semi-professional Cary Ballet Company and The 3D Project jazz dance company to let you know about our 2013 Intensive Summer Program. Since
relocating here from New York in 1995, I've been working to establish
an outstanding arts organization/resource to serve NC's Capital region
as well as schools, dancers and dance enthusiasts in the Southeast. At
CBC, we are fortunate to have assembled an outstanding professional
faculty of internationally acclaimed master teachers. Our team works
closely together, continually evaluating our students, company dancers
and even our own syllabus, teaching methods and goals, to fully utilize
our skills and provide the most thorough dance education possible. All
of us at CBC hope to build friendly, supportive relationships with
respected teachers, like you, possibly collaborating ideas, resources
and even performances. Please feel free to contact me at 919.481.6509.

Performances
The conservatory is home to the semi-professional, non-profit Cary
Ballet Company. We hope that you will be our guest as we present our 16th annual
Spring Gala Concert on March 15th & 16th. This Spring, we are excited to create a new, world-premiere adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream to be called Tales from an Athenian Forest featuring Felix Mendelssohn's wonderful score. Also, we invite you to our nationally know jazz company, The 3D Project's Spring Showcase this Spring. If you
would like to bring a group, we will happily arrange a special rate or
even a mini-workshop for your students. We enjoy meeting new colleagues
and the benefit our dancers receive from interaction with other
aspiring dancers, like themselves. The company is supported by the Town
of Cary as well as individual members and corporate sponsors of the
Cary Ballet Guild. Several of these members have volunteered to assist
visitors in any way possible. Please accept their hospitality by
calling on them with any questions you may have about directions,
lodging, host families, ticket sales, master classes, etc. Contact our
Hospitality Committee Chairperson, Mrs. Betsy Gifford, at 919.481.6509
and she will gladly assist you, or recommend the best volunteer for
your needs.

Summer Intensive Program
We offer many weeks of Intensive all-day summer training for talented intermediate and advanced level dancers. What sets our program apart from others is our flexible enrollment policy, allowing dancers to attend segments of the program - as few as 2 weeks for ballet, or six days for our renowned JazzFest. More importantly, we provide the very rare opportunity for close interaction with some of the nation's most highly regarded Ballet Masters in a smaller, more personal, nurturing environment.
We are honored that many schools and teachers encourage their students to attend our program. Our teaching methods are solid and not heavily stylized. We strive to support the students' regular training in a respectful, complimentary way, which will send them home improved, inspired and ready to work harder. Those teachers who have sent their students in the past have noticed a marked improvement in technique and attitude, which has carried back into their schools and to other students, benefiting their programs.
We enjoy this special opportunity to work with other promising dancers, like yours, in our state of the art facility with 6 spacious, bright studios in our upscale, family community. We offer safe housing options, including many wonderful families who have volunteered to host out of state dancers. We try to match visiting students with households having dancers the same age. CBC's hospitality committee also arranges activities/outings for ALL program students, together.
Please post this information and encourage your students to audition or submit a video-audition. If you are interested in sending students and
would like additional information, please contact the conservatory at
919.481.6509. If your students are interested in staying with a host
family, please have them contact Mrs. Amy Turner, who will be
making these arrangements, at 919.481.6509 or e-mail housing@caryballetconservatory.com.
